Edith Cowan University is named after the late Edith Cowan, social activist, women’s rights champion and the first woman elected to an Australian parliament. As a testimony to her stature, Edith Cowan’s image is on Australia’s $50 note.
Edith Cowan became a university in 1991. It has 20,000 students including about 4000 international students from 90 countries.
Edith Cowan operates from 3 campuses in Perth, Western Australia – Mount Lawley, Joondalup and Bunbury.
The main campus at Joondalup boosts stunning architecture and landscaping.
