Established in 1825 as Huddersfield Scientific and Mechanic Institute. In 1970, it became Huddersfield Polytechnic and subsequently achieved new university status in 1992 with the name Huddersfield University.
The university has around 22,000 students from over 85 countries and is well known for its creative disciplines.
