Karolinska Institute commands high prestige in the global medical industry as a committee of the institute selects the laureates for the Nobel Prize in Medicine.
In Singapore, the institute’s name made headlines when Ms Eng Kai Er, an A* Star scholar who was doing her PhD in Infection Biology in Sweden, was charged in Singapore court for parading nude at Holland Village with her Swedish boyfriend. She is a member of Mensa, the high IQ society and an alumnus of Hwa Chong Institution.
